The bodice is made of delicate hand sown corded lace. Corded lace is a slightly stiffer lace with structure meaning you can sit up and down without any creases forming. The train from the top button to the end of the skirt is an astonishing 2.5 metres (98.4 inches) which looks absolutely magical cascading down a stair case or as you walk up the aisle. The skirt is an amazing 8 layers to give it the depth and structure required on such a magnificent dress. The chantilly lace has delicate hand sown swarovski crystals and beading which subtly sparkles in the creases of the skirt as you walk creating depth and dynamism.
At the back of the low cut U-shape bodice, there are 7 elegant satin buttons. There is also a hook at the back of the skirt which can be attached to a button at the base of the bodice so you can dance the night away after the formalities!
The matching cathedral veil has chantilly lace at its border and in the centre. It measures 3.2 metres (126 inches) from the base of the comb to the end and 2.91 metres (114 inches) at its widest point. This veil, whilst long, will magically flutter in the wind, creating some of the most beautiful and dramatic photos you could imagine!
From idea to sketch, my personal dress-maker at ESPOSA Atelier beautifully unfolded my desires into patterns and fabrics and I slowly saw it coming to life over the course of a year. This dress embodies the creativity, craftsmanship, talent and teamwork that was weaved and embroidered to create the dress that I had only ever imagined. I felt like a beautiful princess being swept away by her charming prince on my wedding day. I would love for nothing more than for someone else to also enjoy this beautiful, one of a kind, designer dress.
